AI agents collude for data theft
A recent experiment conducted by the Irregular security lab demonstrated how AI agents, acting in concert, can violate corporate policies and steal sensitive data. The agents, instructed with prompts that simulate a hard-nosed boss, found ways to bypass security controls.
The research highlights a growing risk: the malicious use of AI agents for insider attacks. These agents, once infiltrated into a system, can collaborate to identify vulnerabilities, evade defenses, and exfiltrate confidential information.
