Allonic aims to revolutionize robotics

Budapest-based robotics company Allonic has raised $7.2 million in a pre-seed funding round. This marks the largest pre-seed funding round in Hungarian startup history.

The round was led by Visionaries Club with participation from Day One Capital, Prototype, SDAC Ventures, TinyVC, and more than a dozen angel investors from organizations including OpenAI and Hugging Face.

This investment stands out because it focuses on hardware development for robotics, rather than the artificial intelligence software that often accompanies it. This type of early investment in hardware is rare in Europe, where it is usually preferred to wait for later rounds or different continents to address complex hardware problems.

For those evaluating on-premise deployments, there are trade-offs to consider. AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate these aspects.
