CachyOS, the Arch Linux-based distribution, has released an ISO refresh for March 2026. This update is available for both new installations and upgrading existing CachyOS systems.

The update introduces two significant changes:

  • Switch to Wayland: The CachyOS Handheld Edition adopts Wayland.
  • Removal of Bcachefs: The CachyOS installer no longer includes support for Bcachefs.
