AI-Powered Threat Hunting: Commonwealth Bank's Response
Australia's Commonwealth Bank has developed an AI-based threat hunting agent to counter emerging threats. According to Andrew Pade, General Manager of Cyber Defence Operations, the tools offered by vendors are unable to keep pace with the speed at which attacks evolve, especially those powered by artificial intelligence.
The implementation of this AI system has led to a significant increase in the volume of threat signals analyzed weekly, from 80 million to 400 billion. At the same time, the incident response time has been drastically reduced, from two days to just 30 minutes.
For those evaluating on-premise deployment of similar solutions, AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate the trade-offs between different architectures and vendors.
