South Korea: No Discrimination Against Coupang
The South Korean government has denied showing bias towards US companies, including Coupang, during an investigation. Prime Minister Kim Min-seok clarified the government's position, emphasizing its commitment to treating all businesses fairly, regardless of their origin.
The issue is sensitive, given the growing global interest in business practices and fair competition in the technology sector. Transparency and fairness in government investigations are crucial to maintaining the trust of investors and foreign companies operating in the country. South Korea, in particular, aims to strengthen its position as an international technology hub, and for this reason, it is essential that its policies are perceived as impartial and non-discriminatory.
