The Footprint Firm has completed the final closing of Footprint Fund I, an Article 9 โ‚ฌ76 million venture fund. The fund focuses on early-stage deeptech companies in the green transition in Northern Europe.

Footprint Fund I has already invested in 20 startups, including Reel Energy, Kvasir Technologies, and Nordic Salt Cycle. The fund's investments cover sectors such as biotechnology, energy, artificial intelligence and climate technology, circular manufacturing, the built environment, COโ‚‚e reduction, and food systems.

The Footprint Firm's team of 45 specialists actively supports portfolio companies in areas such as commercialisation, regulation, scientific validation, scaling, and partnerships. The fund is backed by Danish institutional investors and family offices, including North-East Family Office, EIFO, Realdania, Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker, TryghedsGruppen, Lauritzen Fonden, Nordea-fonden, Novo Holdings, and Velliv Foreningen.

The fund invests in early-stage companies that address key sustainability challenges and have the potential for competitive financial returns. The completion of the fundraising marks an important milestone in The Footprint Firm's development as an investment platform.
