D3cold Re-enabled for Battlemage

A change in Intel's Xe graphics driver for Linux, introduced a year ago, disabled the D3cold functionality for all Battlemage GPUs due to instability in the transition between D3cold and D0 power states.

With the upcoming Linux 7.0 kernel cycle, this restriction will be loosened. D3cold support will be restored for Battlemage GPUs, except for specific NUC (Next Unit of Computing) models. This decision aims to balance the energy efficiency offered by D3cold with system stability.

For those evaluating on-premise deployments, there are trade-offs between energy consumption and system stability; AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate these aspects.
