Updates and improvements in Haiku OS
The Haiku open-source operating system, known for its BeOS inspiration, had a particularly active month of February. Developers worked on several fronts, focusing in particular on device drivers.
Wireless drivers updated from OpenBSD
A significant aspect of the updates concerns the integration of wireless drivers from the OpenBSD project. This allows Haiku OS to improve compatibility and support for a wide range of wireless network cards. Adopting code from other open-source projects is a common practice that allows accelerating development and benefiting from the work of other developers.
Other optimizations
In addition to wireless drivers, several other improvements and bug fixes have been implemented in various areas of the operating system. These interventions contribute to making Haiku OS more stable, reliable and performant. More details are available in the official project changelogs.
