IBM invests in the future of work
IBM has announced its intention to triple the number of entry-level hires by 2026. This decision, which goes against the industry trend, comes at a time when many companies are reducing staff due to automation driven by artificial intelligence.
According to IBM's Chief HR Officer, AI is capable of performing most entry-level tasks, but the work still requires an irreplaceable human element. The company therefore seems to want to balance the efficiency offered by AI with the need for human skills.
This strategy may reflect a long-term vision, in which AI supports and enhances human work, rather than completely replacing it.
