Lawhive, a UK-based legaltech startup, has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round. The primary goal is to accelerate its expansion into the US market.

Funding Details

The round was led by Mitch Rales, co-founder of Danaher Corporation, with participation from TQ Ventures, GV (Google's investment arm), Balderton Capital, and Jigsaw. This investment comes less than a year after the previous Series A round of $40 million.

Focus and Technology

Lawhive focuses on the consumer legal market, addressing common issues such as family law, landlord/tenant disputes, and employment law. The startup has developed an AI-based operating system that, they claim, reduces the time, costs, and administrative burdens associated with these legal practices.

US Expansion

After launching in the UK, Lawhive has expanded into the US and currently operates in 35 states, with an office in Austin and a planned opening in New York. Pierre Proner, CEO and co-founder of Lawhive, stated that the funding will allow them to capitalize on the momentum in the US and scale their business model.
