AI redefines recruitment according to LinkedIn
A recent LinkedIn research highlights how artificial intelligence is transforming the world of recruitment. Companies, under economic pressure, are trying to improve productivity with AI tools, rather than increasing staff.
In today's labor market, there is a growing importance of jobs that combine technical skills with practical skills and adaptability.
Challenges for recruiters and candidates
Despite a high interest in changing jobs (58% in Singapore, 72% in India, 51% in Australia), competition remains high. Candidates express uncertainty about how to deal with AI-driven hiring systems (39% in Singapore, 36% in Australia and India).
Recruiters, in turn, report difficulties in finding qualified candidates (74% in Singapore and India, 77% in Australia) and the need to make quick decisions. In India, 57% of recruiters must prioritize candidates with AI skills.
Benefits of AI in the selection process
According to recruiters, AI helps identify skills that might otherwise be missed (61% in Singapore, 71% in India, 64% in Australia) and standardize evaluations, making the process fairer (64% in Singapore, 78% in India, 55% in Australia).
An increase in the use of AI for pre-screening interviews is expected (70% in Singapore, 80% in India, 71% in Australia). 79% of recruiters in Singapore, 81% in India and 75% in Australia say AI has already changed the way their organizations hire.
LinkedIn's Hiring Assistant
LinkedIn offers Hiring Assistant, an AI agent that supports recruiters in finding candidates. Companies like AMD, Aurecon and Siemens use this tool to accelerate candidate discovery and identify profiles that might otherwise be overlooked. Early users report saving more than four hours per role, a 62% reduction in profile review and a 69% increase in InMail acceptance rates.
