Nscale, a London-based startup pitching itself as a "hyperscaler engineered for AI", has announced a $2 billion Series C funding round. This brings the company's valuation to $14.6 billion.
Funding Details
The round was led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries, with participation from Astra Capital, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, Nvidia and Point72. Nscale will use the funds to speed up the development of its AI infrastructure, including its data center offering.
Strategic Partnerships
Nscale positions itself as a key AI infrastructure partner for OpenAI, Microsoft and Nvidia. It is providing infrastructure for OpenAI's AI data centers in Norway and the UK (Stargate Norway and Stargate UK).
New Board Members
Sheryl Sandberg, Nick Clegg and Sudan Decker have been appointed to Nscale's board of directors.
