New NTFS Driver for Linux

The sixth iteration of the NTFS driver for Linux, named NTFS Plus, has been released. This driver is based on the original NTFS driver code for the Linux kernel, prior to Paragon Software's contribution of the NTFS3 driver.

The main goal of this new driver is to improve performance, add new features, and provide public user-space utilities. The aim is a significant step forward for those who rely on the Microsoft file system.

This driver represents an open-source alternative for developing and improving NTFS support on Linux systems, potentially offering greater control and flexibility compared to proprietary solutions. For those evaluating on-premise deployments, there are trade-offs to consider between performance, compatibility, and maintenance costs. AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate these aspects.
