Nvidia challenges OpenClaw with NemoClaw

Nvidia is reportedly preparing to launch an open source AI agent platform, codenamed NemoClaw, intended to directly compete with OpenClaw. The news was reported by Wired, citing sources within the company.

According to the report, Nvidia has already presented NemoClaw to several companies, including Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike, in anticipation of its annual developer conference. At present, the specific benefits that these companies would obtain from the partnership with Nvidia are unclear.

OpenClaw, previously known as Moltbot and Clawdbot, gained popularity in early 2026 for its ability to allow users to control "always-on" AI agents directly from their machines, using various underlying models. The creator of OpenClaw was recently hired by OpenAI.

For those evaluating on-premise deployments, there are trade-offs to consider. AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate these aspects.
