A serial mail thiefโ€™s alleged robbery spree ended after he posted photos of stolen credit cards and bins of mail to his Instagram Stories. ## Case Details Jordan McCorvey, 32, is accused of robbing a USPS letter carrierโ€™s truck on November 28. The carrier reported that two men armed with a knife demanded access to the truck, stealing a tray of mail. The same day, photos of the stolen mail appeared on McCorvey's Instagram accounts, showing the same zip code as the area of the theft. In the following days, McCorvey continued to post Instagram Stories with suspicious banking transactions and offers to purchase financial information. In one photo, a man (not identified as McCorvey) displays a credit card in front of a Wells Fargo ATM. ## Arrest and Potential Consequences McCorvey was arrested on January 9 in Columbus. Mail theft is a federal crime, punishable by fines and up to five years in prison. Social media continues to be a double-edged sword for criminals. This is not the first time that a criminal has self-reported with incautious posts and comments, providing decisive evidence to law enforcement.
