Runeasi, a company that started as a spin-off from KU Leuven, has announced the closing of a โ‚ฌ1 million investment round. The company specializes in a running and movement analysis platform powered by artificial intelligence.

AI-powered biomechanical analysis

Runeasi offers physiotherapists, coaches, and specialty stores tools to quickly perform running and jumping analyses. The platform uses AI-powered motion sensors, worn via a sports belt, to collect biomechanical data. This data is then translated into personalized reports, providing useful guidance for rehabilitation, training, and exercise planning.

International expansion and scientific validation

Currently, Runeasi is used in over 40 countries, mainly by sports physiotherapy practices and running specialists. To date, the platform has supported more than 50,000 running analyses, with the United States representing the main market. The company also collaborates with sports footwear brands, providing efficient and objective product testing, supporting scientific validation. The investment will support the company's next phase of growth, with a focus on accelerating international expansion, particularly in the United States, while continuing to serve the Belgian market.
