SmartSens Image Sensor Price Increase
SmartSens, a major CMOS image sensor (CIS) supplier, has announced a price increase for its products ranging from 10% to 20%. This increase will impact deliveries destined for Samsung and Nexchip.
The decision was made in response to increasing pressure on output memory costs, a critical factor in the production of image sensors. The increase in production costs is inevitably reflected in the final prices of the components.
This price adjustment could impact the supply chain of devices that use SmartSens sensors, potentially affecting the production costs of smartphones and other electronic devices.
