## Vulnerabilities in Flock Cameras Security researcher Benn Jordan discovered that some Condor cameras manufactured by Flock, a company specializing in Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) systems, were configured to stream live video over the internet without any protection. Jordan explained that he had identified vulnerabilities in the systems of some Flock cameras. In particular, some Condor cameras, designed for surveillance and people tracking, were publicly accessible via the internet, allowing anyone to view the real-time video streams. The discovery was made public in collaboration with 404 Media, which published a detailed article on the matter. The article highlights how this exposure could seriously compromise the privacy of individuals captured by the cameras. ALPR cameras, such as those produced by Flock, are increasingly widespread and used by law enforcement and private entities to monitor traffic and identify suspicious vehicles. However, the lack of adequate security measures can turn these tools into a risk to the privacy and safety of citizens.
