Always Friday: AI for Corporate Event Planning

Always Friday, an Italian "AI-native" platform specializing in corporate event planning, has announced the closure of a €1.05 million Pre-Seed funding round. The investment was led by Vento Ventures and P3 Ventures, with participation from Marco Migliore, Arnaldo Borghesi, and several angel investors from the Italian startup ecosystem.

Founded in Latina in 2024 by Gianluca Sordano, Daniele Viccaro, Antonio Restaino, and Lorenzo Balzani, the startup aims to revolutionize a sector traditionally reliant on manual processes. The goal is to bring efficiency and scalability through the use of artificial intelligence technologies, responding to a growing demand for optimization in corporate operations.

Proprietary AI Agents: The Core of Automation

Always Friday's product is centered around an AI interface that allows users to manage the entire event planning process. Behind the scenes, proprietary AI agents handle the heavy operational lifting. These agents are capable of contacting venues, negotiating pricing and availability, and coordinating suppliers end-to-end.

The adoption of these AI agents enables the automation of up to 90% of operational tasks, transforming processes that would typically take weeks into just a few hours. This capability for acceleration and optimization is particularly relevant for companies managing a high volume of events, where operational complexity can lead to significant costs and inefficiencies. The AI agent-based approach offers a solution for delegating repetitive, low-value tasks, freeing up human resources for more strategic activities.

Market Strategy and Growth

Always Friday primarily targets enterprise and mid-market clients, segments where event volume and operational complexity make automation most impactful. The company, which currently employs nine people, has experienced significant growth, quintupling its revenue year-on-year. In Q1 2026, it already matched its full-year 2025 revenue, an indicator of strong demand from companies looking to streamline their corporate event operations.

Gianluca Sordano, CEO and co-founder of Always Friday, highlighted the vision behind the project: "We’re building a platform that brings structure and automation to an industry that still runs largely on manual work. AI helps us remove operational overhead while keeping full control over execution and quality." This statement emphasizes the balance between automation and control, a crucial aspect for companies adopting new technologies.

Future Prospects and Strategic Investments

The newly raised capital will be used for several strategic objectives. Always Friday plans to expand its engineering team, a fundamental step to accelerate the development of its proprietary AI agents. Concurrently, the company will strengthen its data infrastructure, which currently maps venues, suppliers, pricing, and event performance data.

Another key objective is the construction of one of the largest proprietary event supplier databases in Italy, with ambitious plans for expansion across Europe. This database, powered and managed by AI agents, represents a strategic asset for offering increasingly precise and efficient services. The investment aims to consolidate Always Friday's position in the Italian market and prepare the ground for international growth, addressing the challenges of an evolving industry.
