The Rise of AI Bots

The viral virtual assistant OpenClaw, formerly known as Moltbot and Clawdbot, is a symbol of a radical transformation of the web. Instead of being primarily inhabited by humans, the Internet may very soon be dominated by autonomous AI bots.

A new report measuring bot activity on the web reveals that AI bots already account for a meaningful share of Internet traffic. The findings shed light on an increasingly sophisticated arms race, as bots deploy tactics to bypass website defenses.

Toshit Pangrahi, cofounder and CEO of TollBit, says: "The majority of the Internet is going to be bot traffic in the future. Itโ€™s not just a copyright problem, there is a new visitor emerging on the Internet."
