CiaoDott, a startup focused on vertical voice AI for the Italian medical sector, has announced a €1.5 million pre-seed funding round. The round was led by The Techshop, with participation from Vento, Club degli Investitori, Growth Engine, and Alpha Venture.
Objective: Reduce Telephone Overload
Founded in 2025, CiaoDott aims to solve the telephone overload of medical centers, ensuring uniform, timely, and consistent responses to patients. In Italy, the phone remains the main communication channel for medical bookings, with a high percentage of unanswered calls. CiaoDott claims to autonomously handle 70% of calls, from reservations to common inquiries, allowing healthcare organizations to focus on patient care.
Market and Growth
The company operates in a market with significant growth potential, considering that in Italy 9.4% of GDP is dedicated to healthcare spending (OECD data) and there are 123,000 facilities between medical centers, diagnostics, and dental offices. CiaoDott has already collaborated with companies such as Politerapico Monza, Benacus Lab, and Centro Medico Manara. The funds raised will be used to strengthen the platform and expand the supported medical areas, such as orthopedics, dentistry, and dermatology, as well as strategic marketing initiatives.
