Escape, specializing in offensive security engineering, has announced an $18 million Series A funding round.
Security Automation with AI
The company will use the funds to develop artificial intelligence agents capable of automating the security lifecycle. The goal is to overcome the limitations of traditional application security models, replacing legacy scanners and manual processes with AI agents capable of automating security testing and vulnerability remediation.
Offensive Security Engineering
The platform focuses on offensive security engineering, an approach that leverages AI agents to identify, test, and resolve vulnerabilities directly within engineering workflows. Escape's agents automate tasks such as attack surface discovery, continuous security testing, and remediation support, accelerating the process from vulnerability detection to resolution.
Vulnerabilities in Live Environments
Escape has identified over 2,000 high-impact vulnerabilities in publicly available applications generated through automated development tools. These included 175 cases of exposure of personal data and sensitive credentials, present in live production systems.
Future Prospects
The funding will support the development of AI agent capabilities, including tools for analyzing application logic during penetration tests, and the expansion of engineering and go-to-market teams, with a focus on enterprise customers in the USA and Europe.
