UK Executives Increasingly Reliant on AI?
A recent survey conducted in the United Kingdom suggests a growing trend among business leaders to rely on artificial intelligence for decision-making support. According to the report, commissioned by Confluent and based on a sample of 200 managers, 62% of the leaders surveyed use Large Language Models (LLMs) as an aid in the decision-making process.
This data raises several questions. On one hand, it highlights the rapid integration of AI into the corporate world and its potential to improve the efficiency and accuracy of decisions. On the other hand, it raises questions about the actual role of management and the need to develop new skills to manage and interpret the results provided by machine learning models.
It is important to note that the adoption of AI tools for decision support is not without risks. The quality of the results depends on the quality of the data used to train the models, and the lack of transparency in the algorithms can make it difficult to understand and justify decisions made based on their indications. Furthermore, it is essential to ensure the security and privacy of the data used, especially in contexts involving sensitive information.
