Mandel AI has announced $3.9 million in funding for its AI-powered global supply chain coordination platform.
Platform Features
The startup has developed a system that helps manufacturers manage suppliers, detect disruptions, and automate procurement. The platform integrates with existing email and ERP systems, using AI agents to analyze supplier communications, extract critical data, reconcile documents, and act autonomously, following company-defined rules.
A single procurement manager, supported by Mandel AI agents, can coordinate activities that previously required an entire team, managing hundreds of supplier emails per day.
Market and Investors
The funding round is backed by Y Combinator, Category Ventures, Ritual Capital, e2vc, and other Silicio Valley investors. Supply chain disruptions cause losses of $1.6 trillion per year, and 62% of manufacturers consider unstructured data as the main obstacle to AI adoption.
Mandel AI has already processed over $1 billion in material spend for clients in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. The company aims to become the API for global trade communication, enabling self-coordinating supply chains for manufacturers and distributors in North America and Europe.
