PayPal-backed UK fintech Modulr has reported its first full-year net profit. CEO and co-founder Myles Stephenson hailed the achievement as an โ€œimportant milestone,โ€ preceding announcements regarding its US expansion.

Financial Details

Modulr, which provides white-label payment infrastructure for businesses, did not disclose a specific net profit figure for 2025. However, the net profit marks an upturn from 2024, when Modulr Holdings reported pre-tax losses of ยฃ11m.

Stephenson attributed Modulrโ€™s profitability to โ€œsustained commercial growth across our focus markets.โ€ The company processes more than 200 million transactions and over ยฃ180bn in payment value on a yearly basis.

Expansion and Investments

Founded in 2016, Modulr has continued to grow its team across the UK, Europe, the US and India. Modulr last undertook a fundraise, around ยฃ83m, in 2022, led by General Atlantic. Other investors include Blenheim Chalcot, Frog Capital, Highland Europe, and PayPal Ventures.

Earlier this year, Modulr announced its expansion into the US through a strategic partnership with financial technology firm FIS. The company is now aiming to expand its capabilities in AI-powered automation.

Note: Modulr has no current plans for external fundraising.
