Munich-based medtech company Noxon has announced the closing of its seed funding round, led by High-Tech Grรผnderfonds (HTGF) and Bayern Kapital, with participation from Auxxo and another institutional investor. The size of the round was not disclosed.
Muscle-Computer Interface for Rehabilitation
Noxon focuses on developing a medical Muscle-Computer Interface that combines continuous muscle diagnostics and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) in a wearable designed for everyday use. The core innovation is a closed feedback loop that enables real-time measurement and personalised muscle and nerve activation throughout therapy, integrated into existing formats such as tapes, patches, and orthopaedic aids.
Medical Collaborations and Future Applications
Noxon is also working with medical partners, including University Hospital Wรผrzburg and the neuroscience group N-Squared Lab, on additional pilot applications. The collaboration focuses on supporting muscle control when signal transmission between the brain and muscle is impaired, including approaches aimed at reducing tremor in Parkinsonโs patients.
Future Outlook
With the new funding, Noxon will advance clinical validation of its platform and support the launch of its initial products, aiming to make muscle health more transparent, personalised, and accessible.
