Munich-based startup nuuEnergy, specializing in regional heat-pump installation, has announced €4.3 million in seed funding. The round was led by amberra, with participation from EnjoyVenture and existing investors HTGF, Vireo Ventures, better ventures, and Bynd Venture Capital.
Market Growth and Challenges
The heat pump sector has seen strong growth in recent years, despite a slowdown in 2024. Annual installations are projected to reach up to 500,000 units by 2030. However, growth remains constrained by skilled labour shortages and inefficient installation processes.
nuuEnergy's Proposed Solution
Founded in late 2023, nuuEnergy aims to address these challenges through a locally focused, digitally supported approach. The company generates revenue through planning, installation, and long-term maintenance contracts, with additional income from services such as water treatment systems and energy consulting.
Expansion and Digitization
The newly raised capital will be used to expand regional specialist businesses and further digitise the installation process. The company focuses on attracting skilled workers through modern software tools and structured working conditions.
