## NVIDIA GB10: Focusing on CPU Performance The NVIDIA GB10 superchip was initially designed for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, but many Linux users have expressed interest in evaluating its performance in more traditional contexts. Tests performed on the Dell Pro Max at Phoronix have therefore included specific CPU benchmarks, in order to compare it with competing solutions. ## Comparison with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ In particular, the tests compared the GB10 with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo" within a Framework Desktop. This direct comparison allows evaluating the effectiveness of the GB10's CPU in common use scenarios for Linux systems, beyond the AI applications for which it was primarily designed. The results of these benchmarks provide useful data to better understand the capabilities of the NVIDIA chip in a broader context.
