## PC in a Freezer: An Extreme Project Australian modder Trashbench has undertaken an ambitious project: placing a working PC inside a freezer. The main challenge was to avoid condensation, a common problem when exposing electronic components to very low temperatures. ## The Solution: Size and Silica Gel The success of the project is mainly due to the size of the freezer used, which helped prevent significant temperature swings. To further combat condensation, Trashbench used socks filled with silica gel, a hygroscopic material. ## Overclocking: Modest Results Despite the -28ยฐC environment, overclocking gains were minimal. This demonstrates that temperature is not the only limiting factor for extreme overclocking and that other components, such as power supply and motherboard cooling, play a crucial role.
