SK Hynix accelerates on HBM4E

SK Hynix continues to focus on the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) market, keeping shipments of existing products stable and focusing on the development of the next generation, HBM4E. The company plans to make the first HBM4E samples available by the end of 2024.

The growing demand for HBM is closely linked to the expansion of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Platforms such as the Nvidia Vera Rubin AI, which use HBM, demonstrate how these memories are essential for managing the complex workloads required by AI models.

HBM memories are distinguished by their ability to offer significantly higher bandwidth than traditional DRAM memories, allowing faster and more efficient data transfer, which is crucial for AI applications that require processing large amounts of data in parallel.
