AI Talent Shortage in Taiwan

Taiwan, despite possessing significant compute resources, is facing a growing shortage of talent specialized in the field of artificial intelligence. According to DIGITIMES, this situation could limit the island's ability to fully capitalize on the potential of AI.

The availability of advanced infrastructure, such as latest-generation GPUs and state-of-the-art data centers, is not enough to guarantee leadership in the sector. The lack of qualified engineers, researchers, and technicians represents a significant bottleneck.

This skills shortage could push Taiwanese companies to outsource some activities or slow down their AI development plans. Targeted investments in training programs and attracting international talent may be necessary to address this challenge.
