BBLeap, a startup based in Rijen, has raised €5 million to expand its precision agricultural spraying technology. The company retrofits existing sprayers with a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control system that acts on each individual nozzle.
International Expansion
The funding will be used to commercialize the LeapEye camera system and scale the LeapBox solution, bringing it from Europe to Canada. LeapBox allows for more targeted crop treatment, reducing the amount of chemicals used.
Precision Spraying
The idea behind BBLeap is simple: most agricultural sprayers treat an entire field as a single unit, applying the same dose of pesticides or herbicides over the entire surface. BBLeap, on the other hand, allows for more precise application, reducing waste and environmental impact.
