Blossom Health focuses on AI for mental health
Blossom Health, a New York-based telepsychiatry startup, has announced $20 million in seed and Series A funding. The investment will be used to expand an AI-powered platform that pairs psychiatrists with clinical "copilots" and automated administrative support.
The round was led by Headline, whose co-founder and managing partner Mathias Schilling will join the company's board. The platform aims to improve the efficiency of psychiatrists and the quality of care provided.
The context of telepsychiatry
Telepsychiatry, or remote psychiatry, has seen significant growth in recent years, driven by the need to expand access to mental health care, especially in remote areas or with a shortage of specialists. The integration of artificial intelligence tools in this sector could further optimize processes and personalize treatments.
