Semco's MLCC Plant Working Flat Out for AI and Automotive
Semco's MLCC (multilayer ceramic capacitor) production plant in Tianjin, China, is operating at full capacity. The sustained demand for these components is primarily fueled by the AI server and electric vehicle (EV) sectors.
MLCC capacitors are fundamental passive components in modern electronics, used to store electrical energy and smooth voltage. Their importance has grown exponentially with the increasing complexity of electronic systems, particularly in the automotive and artificial intelligence sectors.
The growth of the electric vehicle market requires an increasing number of MLCCs for power management, motor control, and other electronic systems. Similarly, AI servers, with their high computing power requirements, need high-performance MLCCs to ensure stable and reliable operation. This combination of factors has led Semco's factory to operate at full capacity to meet global demand.
