## Torvalds and "vibe coding": an experiment Linus Torvalds, known for creating Linux and Git, recently embarked on a personal project during the holidays: AudioNoise, a GitHub repository dedicated to generating random digital audio effects for guitar. The peculiarity lies in the approach used to develop the code. Torvalds has indeed admitted to experimenting with "vibe coding", a methodology that involves using artificial intelligence tools to generate code. However, he was keen to clarify that this is an isolated initiative and that he does not intend to extend this approach to all his projects. ## Personal projects and experimentation This is not the first time that Torvalds has dedicated himself to projects outside of his main work. Last year, for example, he tried his hand at building guitar pedals. These projects represent an opportunity for him to experiment with new technologies and approaches, without the pressures and responsibilities associated with larger projects.
