London-based Mozart AI has announced the closing of a $6 million seed funding round, led by Balderton Capital.

Objective: democratize music creation with AI

Mozart AI is developing an AI-native digital audio workstation (DAW) designed to integrate traditional music production processes with AI-enhanced features and prompt-driven workflows. The platform aims to support both ground-up composition and agent-based music creation, allowing users to interact with varying levels of technical involvement.

Features and adoption

The software includes tools for stem generation, MIDI progressions, drum patterns, synth and effect creation, sound remixing, and automation of time-intensive production tasks such as quantization and time stretching. Users can also create accompanying music videos and share content directly on social media platforms.

Since the beta launch in September, Mozart AI has reported strong early adoption, with over 100,000 users registering within the first two months and over one million songs created on the platform.

Future outlook

The funding will be used to grow the team, expand the companyโ€™s core technology, and prepare for a full public release.
