Mycoverse, an AgTech startup located near Copenhagen, has announced the closing of a €2.4 million pre-seed funding round.
Funding Purpose
The investment is intended for the development of a biological crop protection platform. This platform will use fungi to reduce or replace the use of chemical pesticides in agriculture.
Investors
The round was co-led by Future Food Fund and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), with participation from PINC, the venture arm of Finnish food company Paulig.
Background
Agriculture is facing increasing pressure to reduce the environmental impact of chemical pesticides. Biological solutions, such as those based on fungi, represent a promising alternative for more sustainable agriculture. These solutions can help improve soil health and reduce dependence on synthetic chemicals.
