Nvidia Vera Rubin: First Samples

Nvidia has announced the availability of the first samples of its Vera Rubin GPU. This new architecture combines an 88-core CPU with GPUs equipped with 288 GB of HBM4 memory.

The combination of CPU and GPU with high memory capacity is designed for complex workloads, especially those related to artificial intelligence. The bandwidth offered by HBM4 memory should significantly improve performance.

For those evaluating on-premise deployments, there are trade-offs in terms of initial (CapEx) and operational (OpEx) costs to consider. AI-RADAR offers analytical frameworks on /llm-onpremise to evaluate these aspects.
