TraqCheck: $8 Million for AI Agents in HR
London-based HRtech startup TraqCheck has announced the closure of an $8 million Series A funding round. The operation was led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from IIFL, marking a significant step towards automating complex hiring and personnel management workflows. TraqCheck's goal is to radically transform how companies handle HR processes by introducing artificial intelligence agents capable of operating autonomously.
Traditionally, recruiters manually source candidates, screen resumes, and coordinate background checks, often using a multitude of fragmented tools. This approach not only introduces operational inefficiencies but also increases the risk of manual errors, which can be costly and carry high reputational risks, especially in sensitive contexts like background checks. TraqCheck aims to solve these problems through an innovative approach based on AI agents.
TraqCheck's Approach to AI Agents and Automation
TraqCheck has already demonstrated the validity of its model with "Trace," an agent specialized in background screening, used by nearly 300 enterprise customers globally, including names like Randstad Enterprise, Wipro, and The Digital College. This agent can execute end-to-end workflows, ensuring greater efficiency and drastically reducing errors. The company's vision now extends to talent acquisition with the launch of "Nina," a new real-time conversational talent sourcing agent.
Nina is designed to initiate conversations with potential candidates, qualify applicants, and introduce vetted talent directly to hiring managers. By taking the administrative burden out of hiring, Nina empowers recruiters and managers to focus on aspects that require human interaction and critical judgment, boosting their productivity. Jaibir Nihal Singh, Founder and Co-CEO of TraqCheck, emphasizes how recruiting has been stuck in search interfaces and fragmented tools for two decades, and how AI agents are fundamentally changing this interface, allowing systems to execute entire workflows based on simple instructions.
