Encord, a London-based data infrastructure startup, has announced the closing of a €50 million Series C funding round. The operation was led by Wellington Management, with participation from existing investors such as Y Combinator, CRV, N47, Crane Venture Partners and Harpoon Ventures, as well as new investors such as Bright Pixel Capital and Isomer Capital.
Purpose of funding
The funding will be used to further develop Encord's platform, focused on creating a robust data layer for artificial intelligence applications in the physical world. This includes, for example, robotics, computer vision and other areas where AI interacts directly with the environment.
Previous funding
With this new round, the total capital raised by Encord amounts to approximately €93 million. This demonstrates investors' confidence in the startup's potential and its ability to develop innovative solutions for the AI sector.
