Firecell and Accelleran have announced a merger, backed by a €7.9 million investment, to create a complete solution for private 5G networks. The goal is to simplify the deployment of private 5G in sectors such as industrial automation, critical infrastructure, and defense connectivity.

Merger Details

The merger combines Firecell's core network and NMS (Network Management System) with Accelleran's programmable RAN, management, and AI capabilities. The new platform targets ports, factories, defense installations, and logistics facilities, where connectivity is critical.

The industrial sector is evolving towards fully autonomous operations, which require deterministic connectivity. Private 5G networks address this need, but their implementation often requires the integration of components from different vendors.

Firecell Platform Features

The platform resulting from the merger offers:
* Global spectrum coverage: support for all FDD and TDD bands.
* High-performance connectivity: sub-millisecond latency and support for thousands of IoT devices.
* AI-driven network intelligence: real-time optimization of network capacity and energy.
* European-developed software: full on-premise deployment, to ensure data sovereignty.

The resulting company will operate under the Firecell name, with Claude Seyrat as CEO, and will expand its engineering and commercial presence in France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland.
