Custom Cooling for RTX 3080
An enthusiast decided to tackle the overheating issue of their RTX 3080 in a decidedly original way. Tired of the high temperatures, they removed the original backplate and replaced it with a massive heatsink repurposed from a 100W car amplifier.
Surprising Results
The modification seems to have paid off: GPU temperatures have decreased by about 10ยฐC. This type of intervention, although unconventional, demonstrates how an adequate cooling system can make a difference, especially with high-end video cards that tend to get very hot under load. The initiative highlights the creativity of the modding community and their ability to find alternative solutions to optimize the performance of their systems.
